Great clients get great work. I stand by this and when a client trusts me and allows me the freedom to develop, I always deliver way beyond initial expectations. Rob Smyth is a Personal Trainer based in Sandyford Dublin. Rob has travelled the world and is returning home to continue his career as a personal trainer in Dublin.
Rob had an existing WordPress.com site, so it made sense to go with the platform, I would have anyway, but it always helps when the client knows the CMS and has some excellent Fitness Advice already in there blog. The site features Dublin Fashion Photographer Alex Hutchinsons work, also a client of mine so check out his site.
Rob got the full package, which included a redesign of his WordPress theme and a refocus of message and CTA within his site. Rob’s initial SEO focus will be around Google places and natural listings for the term Sandyford Personal Trainer. Early days and the indexing is going well. I have been trying to promote all my new clients with Irish Backlinks form backlinks.ie. More to come as this site soars up the Google ranks, I wont be happy till I see Rob #1 for Sandyford Personal Trainer.

Education Choice was established by David Kelly in late 2006 and are based on Mount Street in Dublin. Education Choice is focused on providing Skills Based Training that will help Learners in the workplace. Security Training is the main focus of Education Choice’s service offering, courses are based in Dublin, Galway, Cork & Limerick.
The site was originally a HTML & PHP bespoke CMS, which was very difficult for the client to update. I ported the site to WordPress and the client is adding blog posts and editing the content like pros. The WordPress theme also has a simple PayPal checkout system with a custom Short Code to allow Education Choice edit prices and add new courses. Check out the site, more SEO work to come.

Back Links Ireland is a site I have setup sans client and is a small Irish directory/SEO project I will be working on for the next few months. The site is designed using WordPress and DirectoryPress. The thumbnails API is from Shrink the Web, so this all amount to a full automated directory submission portal.
My aim with backlinks.ie is create a useful Irish links resource, that is driven by quality sites, expert taxonomy and of course local businesses. Long term I hope to be able to use this service to allow Irish businesses get free and inexpensive local relevant back links. The site is currently scraping the DMOZ for Irish business entries so I have a lot of work to do, just at around 1,000 entries after 48 hours, estimate I will stop at around 20K and refine the listings, SEO work is ongoing but I want to see how this one performs organically with out any manipulation, pure white hat with an old school directory mechanic, it should be interesting if anything.

Dun Laoghaire Dentist – Dun Laoghaire Dental, are a local Family Dental Clinic located in Dun Laoghaire here in Ireland. The site DLD site is WordPress driven and is in the early days of SEO work and currently creeping onto page one now for Dentistry related terms.
Currently sitting on the top spot of page 2, I won’t be happy until this site is the #1 search for google.ie, currently #1 on bing.com for this search, so one down one to go :)

Clare Keogh is an Irish Press Photographer based in Cork. Clare’s site is WordPress driven and focuses heavily on a minimal look and feel, allowing the images to come to the forefront. The site has some excellent image display capabilities and is backed by WordPress short codes to make updating a simple task.
The site is fully optimised and although the home page is sans text, the site is already seeing some great early results, ranking #1 for Clare Keogh and climbing sharply for Press Photographer Ireland and Press Photographer.

Sonos Ireland is a recent SEO client, looking to dominate the Irish SERPs for a range of terms relating to Sonos Audio Equipment. Exclusive Audio are Ireland’s main distributor of Sonos Audio Equipment and also specialise in high-end Home Cinema, Smart Home design and installation here in Dublin. The site is a static html, which is due to be converted to wordpress as the SEO process continues.

The Bray Summerfest is an annual Irish Festival held in the seaside town of Bray. the site is a Custom WordPress Theme, developed to match the vibrant festival brochure. The site features event listings, Flickr integration and links to the iPhone and Android Apps. The site is fully search optimised and is currently being focused on the US market to increase traffic and keyword reach.

Drohan Lettings are a long established letting agent based in Dundrum. The project was a complete redesign and restructure of their existing site. The site is developed using WordPress and is synced to the Drohan Lettings daft.ie profile, allowing them easily update the site’s property listings. I was responsible for web design, site development and search optimisation on this project. A custom Daft WordPress plugin was also created specifically for Drohan Lettings, consuming from the Daft API and integrated with WordPress pagination.
Drohan Lettings site is currently ranked #1 on Google for the term Drohan Lettings and also #3 on page 1 for the terms Letting Dundrum and Dundrum Letting Agent.

Woodprint are a Dublin Printing Company, based in Innovation House in the Sandyford Industrial Estate. From design to installation Woodprint specialise in Large Format Printing, Bespoke POS Solutions and Installations. The Woodprint site is a full WordPress CMS, with some nice custom image slider plugins that are very easy for the client to update. The site ranks well for the brand name and other related Dublin based printing terms.

Innovation House is the home of the Pop Company, Woodprint, The Exhibit Design Group and the National Dairy Council. Based in the Sandyford Industrial Estate, here in Dublin Innovation House was founded in 2009 to further the synergy of these companies. The NDC joined in 2010. The site is a one page brochure to allow the group explain the co-op and link back to their own sites.

Oxybubbles is a Northern Irish based Oxygen Bar & Equipment Rental business, servicing Ireland & the UK, the brief was simple. Under a small budget this single page jQuery driven php site was a rapid build and was completed in under 2 days, from concept to final execution. The site launched in May 2011 and is indexing well for the terms Oxygen Bar Northern Ireland and Oxygen Bar Ireland. Ongoing PPC and Organic SEO will continue over the coming months.

The Certificate in Business Analysis and Consultancy is a Business Analysts course, developed in conjunction with the The National College of Ireland. I was responsible for a redesign and redevelopment of the content structure within this site. The site was a complete rebuild and with Search Engine Rankings paramount to the campaign I choose WordPress as my CMS of choice.
The site currently ranks #1 Organically for the term Business Analyst in Ireland and also ranks #1 globally for the term Business Analyst Ireland. The new site is completely client manageable via WordPress and has some nice features for sign-up and a live jobs feed from a leading recruitment website.

Enterprise Evolution is a new and innovative project, The Enterprise Evolution Graduate Programme is a partnership between Innovo Training and Development, the Synergy Centre and the Institute of Technology in Tallaght (ITT). I was responsible for online promotion for this campaign, the Programmes social media is all administrable via WordPress, allowing a single point of contact for updating the website, twitter and facebook.
The Programme was a huge success and its second round is currently being promoted. The site ranks #1 globally for the term Enterprise Evolution, against some stiff competition from a popular TV series of a similar name.

Everything IT are exactly as their name suggests a one stop shop for anything from Individual PC sales to Corporate Network Management. I created the Everything IT brand and also supplied, web design, print and vehicle design. The site is fully optimised and client manageable via WordPress. At the Fifa World Cup 2010 in South Africa, the world was introduced the the sound of the Vuvuzela. Following the initial to sell vuvzellas online I started to do some research and purchased a good domain. I had a fully functional website live within 24 hours, taking back orders. The first stock arrived a few days later and I began to merchant immediately. The front end of the site is a php & html framework, with the news section created in WordPress.
The Vuvuzela Ireland campaign included a Facebook fan page, Twitter, Website, PayPal integration as well as an appearance on George Lee’s – Mind your Business show on RTE Radio 1. A big thanks to RTÉ and to George for all the publicity. The site was also nominated for an award for eCommerce by the fine people at webawards.ie.
